When I tried to load a CD into WavePad, it sent me through at least 2 external sites before bringing me to a standard dialog box to open a CD. Almost every "Tools" or some such icon causes a download and installation of a new component. ![]() Now I've tried using a couple of the programs. Then, after they send me a typically arcane license code, they won't let me copy and paste it into the required field. Just what I needed: 7 entries scattered on an already crowded desktop. That turned out to be a waste of time since the installations were dumping icons on my desktop unannounced.Īt least I have the shortcuts to the members of the suite + rip & burn softwares. Had to do a search to find it and manually generate a shortcut. One program (Zulu) installs without a trace of the location of its executable. The only good part is that the installation executables are 300 - 600 kB each. Wind up with at least 2 dozen (see below) poorly-identified entries under the Start menu. Poor to no GUI, no installation options or information ![]() The installation is straight out of a (low-level) hacker's basement. Keeps bringing you back to the web site to hawk their other wares and a "news letter". Site warns you that any mistake at all will cause the license to be locked and you'll have to call tech support.Īsks if you want to check for updates but then doesn't inform you of progress when you do.ĭespite all this, one of the programs (MixPad) identifies itself as a beta. 5 License numbers to generate 5 keys (on a web site) for the 5 programs of a suite. ![]() I appologize in advance for this rant, but after an infuriating installation, I started taking notes.
